Pedro Macias Gordaliza graduated in 2009 from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid with a five years Degree in Telecommunications Engineering. Following, he spent 4 years working as digital signal processing engineer in Madrid and London. On 2014 he joined the Biomedical Imaging and Instrumentation Group (BIIG) and Gregorio Marañon Hospital as research engineer, under the supervision of Juan Jose Vaquero, while working at BIIG, he enrolled in the AI Master’s degree at UNED on September 2016. On September 2017, he started his PhD at Carlos III University, working on the quantification of Tuberculosis employing medical imaging, under the supervision of Arrate Muñoz Barrutia and Juan Jose Vaquero. He joined the DIAG as visiting researcher on March 2019 in order to focus his research in the quantification of Tuberculosis on human employing CT images supervised by Nikolas Lessmann and Bram van Ginneken.
