Natália Alves wins First Prize at the 2023 Paper Awards Ceremony
Natália Alves, a third year PhD candidate at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group, was awarded the first prize at the 2023 Paper Awards hosted by the Department of Medical Imaging. The award ceremony was held on December 19th at the Carl Figdor room in Radboudumc.
Natália received recognition for her paper, which was published in Radiology, entitled "Prediction Variability to Identify Reduced AI Performance in Cancer Diagnosis at MRI and CT". The paper showcases an innovative approach to utilizing prediction variability that enables the identification reduced AI performance across different cancer types, data sets and algorithms.
The jury, consisting of Kiran Vaidhya Venkadesh, Moein Mozaffarzadeh, and Donnie Cameron, praised Natália's work for its contribution to the field of diagnostic imaging and its potential to improve the safetyness of AI algorithms.
