Fabian Hoitsma
PhD Candidate
Fabian Hoitsma is a PhD candidate working on the PICUS project since November 2024 under supervision of Henkjan Huisman and Michiel Sedelaar. His work focuses on AI-assisted prostate ultrasound and AI for fusion of MRI and ultrasound for prostate biopsies. He obtained his BSc degree in Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University and is currently finishing his MSc degree in Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence. For his master's thesis, he worked on a self-supervised pretraining method for medical image segmentation.
