Hartmut Häntze started as an external PhD candidate at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group in October 2023. He received his MSc in Computer Science from the National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan), focusing on biomedical informatics. His master's thesis explored the application of spaced k-mers in alignment-free genotyping. Now, he is working on automatic segmentation of whole-body MRI images and is investigating methods to analyze urological tumors in radiologic images. His PhD is a collaboration between Radboudumc and the Charité in Berlin (Germany) and is funded by the Wilhelm Sander Foundation. He is supervised by Alessa Hering and Mathias Prokop.
