Ivan Slootweg
PhD Candidate
Ivan Slootweg is a PhD Candidate at the Computational Pathology Group under supervision of Geert Litjens since October 2024. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence (cum laude), specializing in neurotechnology and healthcare, from Radboud University. His master thesis evaluated the quality and value of synthetic multimodal retinal images for predicting AmyloidPET biomarker status. Previously he has also worked on neural activity predictions at RIKEN Center for Brain Science and fulfilled a student assistant position with the Prostate Radiology project. Currently, his research focuses on AI-assisted histopathological skin cancer diagnostics for the Deep Derma project.
