Jan Tagscherer

Jan is a PhD candidate working on the OncoFuture project under supervision of Alessa Hering and Ewoud Smit. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in software engineering from the University of Stuttgart, he applied Deep Learning methods in industrial research for multiple years. In 2024, he obtained a master’s degree (cum laude) in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich, where he focused on applying Machine Learning on medical data. For his PhD project, he is working on multi-modal detection and segmentation of metastasis in CT images.
