Leander van Eekelen

Leander van Eekelen obtained his bachelor and master degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University of Eindhoven. For his master thesis and research internship, he worked in the Computational Pathology group with Geert Litjens on applying deep learning to bone marrow biopsies for the segmentation of cells and diagnosis of pathologies. Starting in 2021, Leander rejoined the group as a PhD student to work on improving the prediction of immunotherapy response in lung cancer under supervision of Francesco Ciompi.
