Tijmen de Haas

Tijmen de Haas is a PhD candidate working on artificial intelligence for opportunistic screening of pancreatic cancer in medical images as part of Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (DIAG). He is supervised by John Hermans and Henkjan Huisman. Tijmen holds a BSc and MSc in Artificial Intelligence from Radboud University Nijmegen, specializing in healthcare and neurotechnology. For his MSc thesis, he worked under the guidance of Bogdan Obreja and Colin Jacobs on lung cancer detection. Specifically, he developed an algorithm to investigate the relevance of using full lung CT scans in deep learning for classifying nodule malignancy in lung cancer screening.
