Abstract

This thesis describes and evaluates an interactive annotation system for chest CT scans. As a first step, the structure of interest is segmented automatically. This structure is then divided into smaller volumes of interest (VOIs) containing one type of texture. These VOIs

are automatically labeled, either by a classifier or using a heuristic approach.
